In Hidco, we just started 'contactless biometric attendance'. Previously, one had to carry an RFID enables wallet card that had to be brought in close contact with a wall mounted machine to activate it and then one had to use finger scan to record attendance during arrival and departure. Now the smart devices only require the finger - any of the six previously scanned - to be held lightly. What's more, there will soon be auto SMS messages to the officer concerned if he is late !
