In Telegraph, Times of India etc, HIDCO has published a notice inviting Expression of Interest for engagement of a Project Management Unit.

Just went through the indicative TOR. Amazingly professional! HIDCO sure looks set to gain some kind of national recognition with this kind of vision. May be in line for the PM's national award on urban planning in a year's time?!! One is tempted to yearn for a work environment as professional as the one which the TOR seems to envisage! Great sir! Why not the entire UD Dept as a whole after this? By the way, was just going through the report (March 2011) on Investment Estimates for Urban Infrastructure and Service Delivery by the High Powered Expert Committee to MoUD, GoI...there is a recommendation that at central and state levels there should be one ministry for urban affairs and housing...
Dear Mr. Sen, This is really professional. I have been following WBHIDCO website for the last 6 months and I am really pleased to see the kind of transparency you are bringing in.
Tenders for PMU were finalised by a Committee. Letter of Intent has been issued in favour of M/s IPE. It is expected that they will be able to assemble their Team by November 2011
