The urban development department proposed the formulation of a new Township Policy to cater to the increasing urbanisation and to encourage private investments. The towns will have to conform to certain basic criteria like 25% of residential apartments for the Economically Weaker Sections of the Society and earmarking 25% of the land use on economic themes. ReplyDeleteIn earlier post you have mentioned to transfer stand road into an under ground road and replace the circular railway into an under ground metro.
Now, Joka-BBD bag metro is already under construction. Is it possible to extend this line in the north to Kolkata station through Bara-Bazar, Ahiritola, bagbazar and Tala ? Then there will be no requirement of circular railway.
