In its first meeting of the Eco Tourism Advisory Board which was Chaired by Chief Secretary Sanjay Mitra, a go ahead in-principle was given for the Eco Trail Link to Jambudweep from Bakkhali / Namkhana. (I am a member of this Board). Details will be worked out in consultation with Forest Department but UD basically proposed for an Interpretation Centre, few tent-camps and a guided photography trail for nature enthusiasts. I also spoke to Executive Officer Gangasagar Bakkhali Development Authority and requested him to give a feasibility report by a week which I can then discuss with Forest Authorities. I also had a talk with Mr Zaidi, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest.
