Yesterday I cut the ribbon to our new canteen at Hidco Bhavan. It is run by IRCTC. Outsiders can come and have food too. It was quite necessary as there is hardly any eating place nearby. Indeed, in a recent land auction, a restaurant had got a great response.
GM IRCTC offered us complementary coffee and snacks to all Hidco officials. I thanked IRCTC and lauded the efforts of Krishnendu Basak, GM(A), Kalyan Sen OSD and GM-I N Sil.

Really great work going on in Digha belt. Really heartening to see that survey work of sewerage and drainage had been completed and a proposal to build up an advanced sewerage and drainage system in Digha has also been sent to the state government.
So when are we tentatively starting the work?
So any plans of developing tourism in the Sundarban belt?

1. Lets widen more roads and try to develop into a big tourist town.
2. Lets keep dustbin at regular intervals in the beach as well as in the city.
3. Lets introduce a large number of water sport activities. This will make it really attractive to the tourists.

ReplyDelete(b) I had the pre-bid meeting for Ayurvedic Spa and Health Club at Digha. The outcome of the pre-bid meeting will be published in DSDA website soon.
Are we opening the IRCTC canteen for general office-goers in New Town? I think in that case, it will be a big hit and also help IRCTC in generating a good amount of revenue.
