We are planning to have an art gallery in Eco Park. This will be located on the lakefront, in the space between the new Eco Park Office and the Herbal Garden. We have earmarked an area of 20-25 kottahs for this. The idea is to have time-bound art exhibitions wherein a young artist can exhibit his/her paintings on display for 2-3 weeks after which another may get a chance. The lay visitor to Eco Park - estimated average footfall 10,000 per day - will thus get an exposure to art that he can hope to own too from young artists.
On our request Mr Jogen Chowdhury, MP visited the site last Sunday and agreed to make a suggestion on how to design the art centre at Eco Park
