We are receiving few queries on our invitation for setting up of a Trauma Care Centre and a Geriatric Health Care Centre at New Town, Rajarhat and some requests for extending time, which was to expire tomorrow the 18th Oct.

Like the idea of auction of plots for commercial establishments and to housing companies. This is a welcome direction from CM...However worry that basic facilities for common man like healthcare and education need a different consideration as well. Here “common man” does not mean just planning commission definition of poor or BPL; healcthcare also needs to be affordable to middle class who do not get a free bed and free healthcare at those hospitals. Auctioned land at very high price may also mean healthcare coming at a very high price which not affordable for common man who needs to pay for healthcare.
