In Gorumara Forest in the Duars, there is a wooden machan for viewing rhinos in the salt lick across a stream down below. Based on this idea, we decided today to make a viewing gallery in the midst of the rainforest zone within the Eco Park. A drawing was approved in the weekly meeting at Hidco.

Read with alarm this morning about SINP and land issues. I am sure the government is doing much more than what was reported. But, please, this project must stay in Bengal, the spiritual home of Indian science. It is prestigious, will have multiple spin offs, will keep clever graduates in as well as become a beacon for a knowledge campus.
Surely, the SINP team needs reassurance such that this project is not forced out of Bengal.

At this point in time, Sir, perhaps you are the only person in the administration, who can interfere and make a difference.
I think a natural looking waterfall in the Eco-Park will be an wonderful addition. Its a very rare and unique thing. As the park is getting some really wonderful things, a waterfall would definitely add to its beauty. Please consider it.
