Film Festival Closing in Nazrul Tirtha: Wax Museum to be inaugurated

I accompanied Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a part of an investor-government delegation in a hovercraft to Gangasagar. Returned yesterday, went day before that. My first ever ride on a hovercraft. Took two and a half hour one way.
Just landed at Sagar Island: 30 Oct 2014

Just back at Millennium Ghat :31Oct 2014

After the meeting, I was told by Hon'ble Chief Minister that the closing ceremony of the 7-day Kolkata Film Festival 2014 would be held in Nazrul Tirtha on 17 Nov. Incidentally, this will also  be the first year when a venue of the prestigious KIFF would be located in New Town.

Hon'ble CM also informed that the Wax Museum in New Town would be inaugurated either on 10th or 11th Nov 2014.  Today's Pratidin (see clipping below) quotes Hon'ble CM to say that it will be held on 10th November. Here is a video that appeared today at Kolkata TV:

  1. It is a good thing that Korean banks have been invited. Along with that Japanese banks could also be invited as they have got some very big banks in their country. Also, countries like Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Japan & Korea should be looked into for getting all kinds of investments.

  2. If we want to draw pan-India tourists to Gangasagar, hovercraft service will be very helpful . Everybody would love to avoid highly congested Behala-Joka-DiamondHarbour route and that would give the tourists a hassle free experience.

We can get a tieup with WB Tourism Development Corporation and get this done, I beleive.
