Because of heavy downpour, we had to take extra precautions throughout the day. I spoke to Irrigation Secretary to ensure that Bagjola Canal - which had become full to the brim - was drained out quickly by operating pumps at the outfall at Chowbhaga: he assured me so. The meeting on RFI was quite good and well attended despite the rains. It was attended by more than 100 persons- we could barely manage to squeeze in enough make-shift chairs to seat all guests. There were participants from Mumbai, Gurgaon and even London; from private sector, joint sector and public sector (Govt of India enterprises). There were many suggestions : we decided to also give by 10 days further thoughts if any by email (by 5.30pm on 20th July, I announced). Here is a photo:

ReplyDeleteevery year Haldiram to chinar park portion is getting flooded heavily and last Friday almost all bus service from Airport to Newtown stopped. and we had very tough time to go back to our home. lot of people went back by trucks in the night.
can't we do any thing, so that it can not get flooded
