120 people had their health check-up done today at the eHC of NKDA at Gate 4 of Eco Park. We had a small gathering and discussion this afternoon where senior officers of Hidco, NKDA and NDITA were present along with few local residents and Eco Park staff. Medical Officer of NKDA Dr Partha Bhattacharya spoke about the need to observe simple lifestyle rules (sleep well, exercise, listen to music etc) while I mentioned that the new eHC at Eco Park would provide basic health check up facilities for free to all New Town and neighbourhood residents and Eco Park visitors. I mentioned that greens and blues of Eco Park is, according to urban planning experts, bringing in happiness on all visitors of Eco Park from Kolkata, New Town and elsewhere. I also announced that the Social Welfare Department of Govt of West Bengal had approved NKDA's proposal of a new sensory park in New Town and its area was already identified and planning and design would start shortly.

After the event and a cup of tea later, all officers and I had a group walk from Gate 4 to Gate 1, a "happy walk" of 30 minutes.
